When “The Oracle” Speaks, Entrepreneurs Listen
“If the path to riches were found in books, every librarian would be a billionaire.”
A quote from Warren Buffett, the legendary investor worth $100 billion. If anyone knows the roadmap to riches, it’s him.
Yet despite his wise words, we keep funneling budding entrepreneurs into college under the assumption academic credentials unlock business success.
Are we doomed to keep making the same mistake?
See, the Oracle’s quote hints at a different path. The riches belong not to those versed in yesterday’s textbooks but rather pioneers crafting tomorrow’s innovations.
Consider the entrepreneurs who dared drop out:
Gates. Jobs. Zuckerberg. Dell. Ballmer. DeVos. Bezos.
The list goes on. Visionaries unencumbered by the past.
Most exited college in their sophomore year—when they grasped what The Oracle understood decades prior.
Formal education equips us to study the past, yet entrepreneurs thrive on creating the unknown future.
Still we push the square pegs of business innovation into round academic holes, stunting our revolutionary potential.
College has merits, but entrepreneurs march to a different rhythm. The system serving legions of professionals fails the daring few transforming the world.
Rather than shoehorning them into an antiquated mold, we need a new lens.
The future beckons. Are we ready to think different?
