Thanks for penning this. Have been actively trying to integrate a long term game perspective in most things in life, from career to relationships. Since results may take time to trickle, it's also important to also align some short term milestones or indicators that help you stay for long. Building trust without these is hard and can zap you out before you know it.

The overused adage, get back to the basics is still under-appreciated. Yet we exist in the era of evolving technology that attempts to replicate the simple act of connection. If we can slow down long enough to listen, learn and engage, we will have made a difference.

Funnily enough I was just yesterday trying to explain the beauty of that Nokia to my children who now think every screen can be treated like a smartphone (and are disappointed when it's not).

The number one reason most entrepreneurs should be sent back to the drawing board is that if you strip back all the bling, you will struggle to find the real utility of their proposition. What's worse... most don't understand that distinction.
